On August 18th, HP revealed that they will sever themselves from all ties to the PC world and that they will stop manufacturing webOS devices (including the HP TouchPad). Well, last night the 16GB HP TouchPad’s price dropped from $399 to $99 on HP’s website! Due to this massive savings, HP sold the rest of their TouchPad inventory in the blink of an eye. However, The L.A.Times is reporting massive savings for HP’s TouchPad on numerous websites and even some brick and mortar stores – including Best Buy and Radio Shack.
The bottom line is that if you’re looking to buy a high quality tablet for a cheap price, then now would be your opportunity – you better hurry though because stores are selling out extremely fast!
UPDATE: You can still buy HP TouchPads (yes, they’re in stock) at the reduced prices ($99 for 16GB and $149 for 32GB) here!
UPDATE 2: Apparently the link above won’t let you check out anymore – however, you might be able to find the TouchPad at reduced prices on other sites.
