Foxconn Is Building 1 Million Robots To Replace Workers

According to Foxconn’s founder, Terry Gou, the company is working hard to partially replace their human workforce with one million robots. For those of you that don’t know, Foxconn manufactures components for Apple, Nokia and Sony devices.

Within the next year Foxconn plans on increasing the numbers of their robot workers from 10,000 to 300,000 and gradually phase out human-labor. The robots will be able to accomplish tasks such as spraying, assembling and wielding – so obviously humans will still be required for more tedious and precise tasks.

Stay tuned for more news regarding Foxconn.

to be honest this is a good move to prevent some accidents in the factories, even though people lose jobs it’s better than getting themselves hurt because of negligence

Agreed 100% ! Foxconn probably isn’t the ideal workplace either (low wages, long hours and poor management) – so yeah it’s a good thing!

At least we know the robots won’t be jumping off the Foxconn roof due to being overworked.
