Number Of iPhones Purchased

As reported by AllThingsD, a survey preformed by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners reveals where iPhone owners purchased their handset.

It was discovered that 24 percent of customers purchased their iPhone online, whereas a staggering 76 percent of customers picked their iPhone up at a retail location.

The simple pie chart, embedded above, provides a great visual breakdown of  what retail stores sell the most iPhones. At first glance, the two most dominant sections of the chart are visible: AT&T and Verizon.

Aside from the two carriers, Apple Stores come in third pace for the the most iPhones sold at a retail location and surprisingly, Best Buy falls short of Apple Stores by just 2 percent.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the distribution of Apple’s iPhone shifts in the coming years because thanks to the digital era, brick and mortar stores are becoming a thing of the past.

With that said, stay tuned for more statistics related to Apple and their products.
